HIETT NABS TOP FIVE IN CABIN FEVER SHAKEDOWN
(February 3, 2020) Team 85 struck out to Boyd's Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia on February 1-2 to compete in the annual running of the 'Cabin Fever Shakedown' event. The two-day show for the Super Late Models was sanctioned by the Schaeffer's Oil Iron-Man Championship Series and boasted a $5,000 top prize. Jason Hiett earned Fast Time honors during the qualifying session on Saturday and later picked up a heat race triumph. After starting Sunday's 40-lap feature from the pole position, Jason wound up slipping back a few spots to finish the contest in the fourth position behind only race winner John Ownbey, Jordan Rodabaugh, and Jadon Frame. JASON HIETT EARNS ANOTHER RUNNER-UP IN ICE BOWL
(January 6, 2020) Jason Hiett and Team 85 made their way to Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama on January 4-5 for the 29th Annual 'Ice Bowl.' The Super Late Model portion of the prestigious race at TST drew a solid 35 car field. Jason, who was debuting a brand-new Capital racecar over the weekend, clicked off the quickest lap overall during the qualifying session on Saturday to earn Fast Time honors and later placed second in his heat race.

After rolling off from the inside of the third row in Sunday's 50-lap contest, Jason had his sights set on capturing the $6,000 top prize for the first time in his career. The Oxford, Alabama native sported a fast racecar throughout the 'Ice Bowl,' but once again came up just shy of victory and had to settle for a strong runner-up performance in his season lid lifter behind only victor Michael Page! (November 17, 2019) Oxford, Alabama native Jason Hiett secured his seventh victory of the 2019 campaign and continued his late season surge aboard the #85 on Saturday, November 16 at Boyd's Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia! In the annual running of the 'Gobbler,' which ran unsanctioned for Super Late Models, Jason posted the quickest lap overall of the 31 entrants during qualifying to earn the pole position for the 40-lap headliner. Jason then led most of the feature distance en route to pocketing the $3,500 paycheck ahead of Jadon Frame, Donald McIntosh, Riley Hickman, and John Ownbey! (November 3, 2019) Jason Hiett, of Oxford, Alabama, celebrated in victory lane for the sixth time in 2019 on Saturday evening, November 2 at North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, Georgia! Jason clicked off the fastest lap overall in Super Late Model time trials to earn the pole position for the 30-lap sprint. During the course of the unsanctioned contest, Jason paced the field on each and every circuit to pocket the $2,000 top prize ahead of Will Roland, David Payne, Ronnie Johnson, and Jason Welshan! HIETT SURVIVES FOR $4,200 B.J. PARKER MEMORIAL WIN!
(October 13, 2019) Jason Hiett's 2019 win total now stands at five following his 'B.J. Parker Memorial' triumph on Saturday night, October 12 at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama! Piloting Richard Austin's #85 Capital racecar once again, Jason earned Fast Time honors of the 30 competitors during Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series (SAS) qualifying and later rolled off from the pole position in the 42-lap main event. Jason then survived a pair of wrecks to lead each and every circuit en route to capturing the $4,200 top prize ahead of Jackson Hale, Dillon Tidmore, Jadon Frame, and Ashton Winger.

A night earlier on Friday at TST, a $2,000 payday was on the line for the ground-pounding Super Late Models. Jason laid down the second quickest lap during the qualifying session to earn the outside of the front row for the unsanctioned contest. The Oxford, Alabama ace then slipped back to third in the main event, but still landed on the podium behind only victor Tim Busha and runner-up Dillon Tidmore. JASON HIETT DOMINATES DIXIE OPENER FOR $3,000!
(September 2, 2019) Jason Hiett and Richard Austin's #85 team celebrated in victory lane together on Saturday evening, August 31 at the historic Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia in the rain-postponed feature from August 24! Jason started from the pole position and led from flag-to-flag in the unsanctioned contest to claim the $3,000 winner's check over Dalton Polston, Tyler Millwood, Jason Croft, and Eric Granger. In the regularly-scheduled $3,000 to win special at the Atlanta-area facility on Saturday, Jason timed in second fastest overall in time trials prior to slipping back to fourth in the final finishing order of the A-Main.

The Labor Day holiday weekend then wrapped up on Sunday night, September 1 at Rome Speedway in Rome, Georgia and another $3,000 payday was on the line for the Super Late Models. Jason knocked down the second quickest lap during time trials to earn the outside of the front row for the start of the unsanctioned headliner. The Oxford, Alabama ace was leading the pack when an unfortunate flat tire sent him to the tail end of the feature field. Jason then rebounded from the back and stormed up to second to finish an impressive runner-up behind only victor Jason Croft.
