JASON HIETT RUNS INTO MECHANICAL TROUBLE AT SENOIA
(September 27, 2020) Next up for Team One Motorsports was a trip to Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Georgia on Saturday evening, September 26. The Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series (SAS) presided over the annual running of the 'Michael Head, Jr. Memorial' and a $4,054 winner's check was on the line. Jason Hiett placed fourth in his consolation event to earn the outside of the ninth row in the 54-lap headliner. He was then knocking on the door to the top ten early in the race when motor issues relegated the Oxford, Alabama native to a disappointing twenty-second place showing. HIETT A SOLID FOURTH AT FORT PAYNE MOTOR SPEEDWAY
(September 6, 2020) Jason Hiett entered one lone event over the Labor Day holiday weekend, as Team One Motorsports ventured to Fort Payne Motor Speedway in Fyffe, Alabama on Saturday evening, September 5. A $4,000 top prize was up for grabs in the unsanctioned Super Late Model special event. Jason ran second in his heat race and later rolled off from the outside of the third row in the A-Main. The Oxford, Alabama standout then climbed up inside of the top five during the contest and eventually landed a solid fourth place showing behind only race winner Dillon Tidmore, Ronnie Johnson, and Sam Seawright! JASON HIETT WIRES FIELD AT TST FOR SECOND WIN!!
(August 30, 2020) Oxford, Alabama native Jason Hiett picked up his second feature win of the 2020 campaign on Saturday evening, August 29 at the nearby Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama! Aboard his new XR1 Rocket Chassis, Jason clicked off the fastest lap during Super Late Model qualifying to earn the pole position for the 30-lap main event. During the course of the weekly feature, Jason led each and every circuit on his way to recording the $1,200 payday ahead of Jack Hale, Cruz Skinner, Dalton Cook, and Dallas Cooper! HIETT BLASTS TO I-75 RACEWAY TOP FIVE FINISH!
(August 23, 2020) Team One Motorsports invaded I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tennessee on Saturday evening, August 22 for the 'Dirt Slinger Classic,' which was sanctioned by the Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series (SAS). After rain delayed the program for nearly two hours, Jason Hiett posted the seventh quickest lap in Group B during the qualifying session before securing a triumph in his B-Main. After rolling off from the outside of the sixth row in the $5,000 to win headliner, Jason was able to blast up inside of the top five during the course of the 50-lap affair. At the end of the grueling race, the Oxford, Alabama ace was scored in the fourth finishing position behind only winner Donald McIntosh, David Webb, and Tyler Millwood! JASON HIETT BACK IN OWN EQUIPMENT; EIGHTH AT TST
(August 16, 2020) Following a recent split with Team 85, Jason Hiett returned to his familiar #1 machine on Saturday evening, August 15 at the nearby Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama. The Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series (SAS) rolled into TST to preside over the annual running of the 'Governors Cup.' A strong 40 car field assembled at the track deemed as the "Hornets Nest" to do battle for the $10,000 payday. Jason stopped the clock fourth fastest in his group during the qualifying session prior to picking up a victory in his loaded heat race. After starting third on the feature grid, Jason fought hard to stay inside of the top five in his new XR1 Rocket Chassis, but eventually slipped to an eighth place performance. HIETT RUNNER-UP AT TRI-COUNTY; NINTH AT ECM
(July 12, 2020) Jason Hiett, of Oxford, Alabama, and Team 85 ventured to Tri-County Race Track in Brasstown, North Carolina and ECM Speedway in Bremen, Alabama from July 9-11 for a pair of Super Late Model contests. On Thursday night in a $1,500 to win showdown at Tri-County, Jason timed in fifth fastest overall during qualifying before moving up to second in the A-Main to trail only victor Shawn Chastain. At ECM on Saturday evening, Jason won his B-Main during the $4,000 to win Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series (SAS) program and later wound up ninth in the final finishing order of the 40-lapper. JASON HIETT COMPETES IN EZ-GO 50 AT TALLADEGA
(June 28, 2020) Team 85 and driver Jason Hiett rolled back in Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama on Saturday evening, June 27 for the $12,000 'EZ-Go 50,' which was sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. Jason unfortunately jumped the cushion on both laps during qualifying prior to finishing seventh in his stacked heat race and fifth in his B-Main. HIETT NABS FIRST WIN OF 2020 CAMPAIGN AT TST!!
(June 21, 2020) Jason Hiett, of Oxford, Alabama, secured his first victory of the 2020 racing season on Saturday evening, June 20 at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama! Jason clicked off the fastest lap in Super Late Model qualifying and later led the feature from flag-to-flag to claim the $2,000 winner's check ahead of Todd Morrow, Jake Knowles, Dallas Cooper, and Jadon Frame. A day earlier in the $1,200 to win weekend opener at TST on Friday, Jason timed in second quickest overall during qualifying, led most of the main event, and eventually settled for a strong runner-up performance behind only race winner Dillon Tidmore.
