HIETT ON PODIUM
AT THUNDERHILL & 411 OVER WEEKEND!
(May 26, 2020) Jason Hiett and Team 85 made a trip
to the Volunteer State over the hectic Memorial Day weekend (May
23-25) for a pair of high-profile events at Thunderhill Raceway
Park in Summertown, Tennessee and 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour,
Tennessee. On Saturday night at Thunderhill, a $5,000 winner's check
was on the line in a pivotal Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series
tilt. Jason clicked off the second fastest time in Group B during
the SAS qualifying session to earn the outside of the second row
for the start of the 50-lap main event. The Oxford, Alabama ace
sported a fast racecar during the headliner and moved up to second
to finish a strong runner-up behind only race winner Dale McDowell!
Following a day off on Sunday, the #85 team was back
at it on Monday at 411 in the $10,052 to win 'Scott Sexton Memorial.'
Jason knocked down the third quickest lap in Group B during qualifying
prior to securing a win in heat race action. After starting on the
pole in the Schaeffer's Oil Iron-Man Championship Series contest,
Jason ran amongst the leaders throughout the 52-lap affair and eventually
recorded a third place podium effort behind only victor Cory Hedgecock
and runner-up Colten Burdette. Full results from both holiday weekend
battles can be found online at www.sasdirt.com
JASON HIETT MAKES RETURN TRIP TO BOYD'S SPEEDWAY
10, 2020) Team 85 made an unannounced trip back to Boyd's
Speedway in Ringgold, Georgia on Saturday evening, May 9. A weekly
show was held for the Super Late Models and a $1,200 top prize was
up for grabs. Jason Hiett laid down the eighth quickest lap overall
during the qualifying session, which locked him into the outside
of the fourth row for the 25-lap main event. With track conditions
turning one-groove for the feature, Jason wound up finishing right
where he started on the one-lane track... in the eighth position.
Complete results from last night at the 1/3-mile oval can be viewed

HIETT SUFFERS FLAT TIRE IN BOYD'S SHOWDOWN...
3, 2020) Jason Hiett and Team 85 invaded Boyd's Speedway
in Ringgold, Georgia on Saturday, May 2 for an unsanctioned program
dubbed as the 'Boyd's Dirt Showdown.' The single-day shootout was
broadcast live to a worldwide audience online at www.DirtonDirt.com
and www.FloRacing.com. Jason clicked off the second fastest time
in Group B during time trials to earn the outside of the second
row for the start of the $5,000 to win headliner. With passing at
a premium during the course of the 50-lap contest, Jason was fighting
hard for every position he could get until a flat tire eventually
dropped him to a disappointing fourteenth place effort. Full results
from the Chattanooga-area facility can be accessed online at www.boydsspeedway.info.

Speedway in Chatsworth, Georgia on Friday night, March 13. The Ultimate
Super Late Model Series lifted the lid to their 2020 racing season
last night and a $4,000 top prize was up for grabs. Jason unfortunately
broke a rear-end during the qualifying session and did not record
a lap, which forced him to start shotgun on the field in the 40-lap
main event. When the dust had settled at the northern Georgia oval,
the Oxford, Alabama native was paid for an eighteenth place showing.
